Adventure is my one enduring and consummate urge. If there is one thing with which I would like to mark my life, it would be to have seen and experienced the whole world for myself. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been a voracious learner, constantly wanting to discover new things through books and television. I took up Biology in college, hoping to someday become a doctor. But my initial forays into mountaineering and other outdoor activities with college friends disrupted all of that focus, and I eventually turned my attention to pursuing other "less confining" occupational options. I went into environmental conservation after college, and more specifically into marine research when I took up SCUBA diving. It was during this time that I had perhaps the most formative years of my life.\nHaving worked as a marine biologist and conservationist for several years, I have had the opportunity to travel to many places within the Philippines and live with various local communities, far from the confines and comfort of modern city lifestyle. It was this "exposure" of mine that eventually inspired me to take up photography and writing - in order for me to document and capture images of the fascinating people and places that I have seen during my travels.\nCurrently, I engage myself in various preoccupations: I am a freelance academic tutor, SCUBA diving instructor, photographer, writer, and web/graphics designer...among many other things. But amidst all of these roles, I am primarily a traveller and a storyteller.
